Dorset Retreat

Dorset Retreat is a nine-bedroom house for up to 21 guests in Bridport, near West Bay. Shops, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance and the beach is 2 miles away. Ornate walls surround the courtyard garden, which is laid to lawn and gravel.

Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, a super-king-size zip-and-link and a king-size zip-and-link, each with an en-suite shower and WC. The back bedroom is reached through the larger en-suite room or from the kitchen pantry via an outside door. Seven more bedrooms are on the first floor, overlooking the walled garden. Most beds are zip-and-link, which can be made into twins on request, and there is also a triple with three single beds. The house has eight bathrooms, most of them en-suite.

The lounge has a TV with speakers, and the cinema room has NOW TV and Netflix. A games room holds a pool table, table tennis and board games. The dining room has a large table that seats the whole group, and a small seating area around a wood burner-effect electric fire. The kitchen has a range-style oven and hob, a separate electric oven, two American-style fridge/freezers and two dishwashers, and a utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Up to two dogs can stay here, at an additional cost. The house suits a family reunion or a group of friends who want to stay under one roof, with two bedrooms on the ground floor and seven upstairs.
