Deer Leap House

Deer Leap House stands on the outskirts of Moreton and sleeps up to 15 guests in seven bedrooms. Five are doubles, one of them on the ground floor, and the others are a twin and a family room with a double and a single bed. A cot and two high chairs can be provided on request. The house has a bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower, a second bathroom with a bath, a ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower and a double basin, and a first-floor cloakroom with a basin and WC.

The house has a kitchen/diner with a range cooker, a dining room, a sitting room, a study, and a games room with a TV and pool table. The entrance hallway has a woodburning stove. There are a washing machine and a dishwasher, and fuel, power, a starter for the stove, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A wrap-around terrace has outdoor furniture.

The communal grounds, shared with Deer Leap Cottage, hold an outdoor heated swimming pool, open from 1 April to 27 November, with 2027 dates of 19 March to 26 November, plus a tennis court with a basketball net, rackets on request, table tennis and an unfenced lake. A five-person hot tub and an infrared sauna for two or three people are due in 2027, with dates still to be confirmed, so they are not available now. Parking at the front is ample.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. There are steps throughout the property, and a wrap-around landing with a railing means children need supervising, as they do near the lake. A good-housekeeping bond is payable, the minimum stay is three nights, and check-in is at 4pm with check-out by 10am. Stag and hen parties are not permitted, and all-adult groups must check with the owner before booking. The shop is 0.4 miles away and the pub 0.3 miles. It suits a large family gathering or a group of friends travelling with a dog or two.
