Ilsington Farmhouse

Ilsington Farmhouse is a brick farmhouse near Tincleton, behind private gates on a working farm, and near Moreton. It sleeps 14 across seven bedrooms: five on the first floor and two on the top floor, with three king-size beds, two twins, a double with an extra single bed and a single. There are only two bathrooms for the whole house, one with a bath and separate shower and one shower room.

Downstairs, the main living room has a TV and a wood burner, the dining room has a Charles II table and another wood burner, and a second living room doubles as a library with a third wood burner, books, DVDs, a mini snooker table and a piano. The wood burners are for winter use and the first basket of logs is supplied. The kitchen and breakfast room has an AGA, an electric oven and hob, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave, and the utility room has a washing machine. Cots, highchairs and stairgates are available, along with catering and bike hire.

Outside, the enclosed garden is lawn with a patio, furniture, a BBQ (one bag of charcoal supplied), a shepherd's hut with seating and outdoor games such as croquet and cricket. Extra logs and charcoal can be bought. There is private parking for seven or more cars. The pub is 3 miles away, the shop 2.5 miles and the beach 9 miles.

The farm has other businesses in the barns nearby, and guests may not explore the farm buildings beyond the house and garden. Three dogs are allowed, with an additional charge possible. It suits a large family gathering or a group of friends who want one big house and a car each.
