Dorset Escape

Dorset Escape is a large house in Symondsbury, near Bridport and Eype, with a village pub half a mile away and the Jurassic Coast three miles off. It sleeps 17 across eight bedrooms: seven with super-king-size zip-and-link beds, each of which can be made up as twins on request, and one triple room. One of the super-king rooms is on the ground floor with an en-suite, and another is in the attic with its own en-suite bathroom.

The facilities are what a big group will notice first. The indoor heated swimming pool comes with a sauna, a shower and a changing room, and there is a hot tub in the garden. The cellar has been turned into a cinema room with Sky TV and a DVD player, and the games rooms hold a pool table, table football and table tennis. Catering can be arranged at an extra charge, directly with the owner.

The sitting room has a wood burner and a Smart TV. The dining room is built around an inglenook fireplace with a second wood burner, and the first basket of logs is provided. The kitchen has a range oven and hob, a second oven, a microwave, two dishwashers and two fridge/freezers, and the utility room adds a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Outside there are several seating areas, a pagoda, a large outdoor table and a BBQ.

Three dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Off-road parking is ample. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am. The house suits a family gathering or a group of friends who want a pool, a sauna and plenty of bedrooms under one roof.
