Hardown House

Hardown House sits in Morcombelake, 4 miles west of Bridport, and sleeps up to eight across four bedrooms on two floors, with infants counting towards that total. The living room, the master bedroom and the twin room look across Lyme Bay. The nearest shop is 1 mile away, and a pub and the beach are 2 miles off.

The entrance is through a boot room with space for coats and boots, and a utility room has a washer/dryer and a freezer. The open-plan kitchen/diner has a Rangemaster cooker with a gas hob, an electric oven, a fridge and a dishwasher, and a dining table that seats eight. The living room has two fabric sofas, an armchair, a Smart TV and an open fire, and a separate snug has two chairs. Bedrooms are two king-size rooms, a double and a twin; the master and the double each have an en-suite shower room, and there is a further shower room, plus an additional WC.

The paved terrace has a wooden table and seating for eight with a parasol. A long flight of steps leads down to a partially enclosed lawn. Private parking takes four cars, but the approach is on a slope that may be a problem for low cars. Please bring your own beach towels.

One small dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. The house suits two families or a group of friends who want a view and a table for everyone, and who are happy with a sloping approach and a long flight of garden steps.
