Hazel

There is no separate bedroom at Hazel: the double bed, the kitchen, the dining area and the sitting area share one open space, all on one level. It is a studio-style home for two guests and one well-behaved dog, on the outskirts of Blandford Forum in Dorset.

The patio at the front has furniture, a barbecue and a hot tub, and guests can reach 28 acres of woodland, Downwood Vineyard and a games area. Off-road parking is provided. For supplies, the shop is 1.5 miles away; the pub is closer, at 0.4 miles.

The kitchen is the first thing you reach when you come in. The cooker is an electric oven and hob, and a microwave, fridge, freezer and coffee machine complete it. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The television gets Freeview, there is WiFi, and central heating is fitted. The rent covers bed linen and towels as well as fuel and power.

Smoking is not allowed, and the limit is one dog. Short breaks are available out of season, at Christmas and at the last minute. Hazel suits a couple with one dog who are happy to share a single room and want the estate's grounds on their doorstep.
