Honeycombe

A steep staircase leads up to the only bedroom at Honeycombe, so check that it suits everyone before you book. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. Upstairs is a double bed with a television and Freeview. The living space is the first room you reach on arrival, and the bedroom is up the stairs from there.

Honeycombe stands on the outskirts of Blandford Forum, among 28 acres of gardens and woodland. The rear patio has furniture, a hot tub and a barbecue, with far-reaching countryside views.

A microwave, a coffee machine, a fridge, a freezer and an electric oven and hob make up the kitchen, and the shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. Superfast WiFi and central heating are included, and so are bed linen, towels, fuel and power.

Guests may use Downwood Vineyard, the woodland and the communal games area. There is off-road parking, with a shop 1.5 miles away and a pub 0.4 miles. Booked alongside the estate's other cottages, the group sleeps up to 36. Neither pets nor smoking are allowed. Honeycombe is good for a couple who are comfortable with a steep staircase and want a hot tub for the evenings.
