Lamperts Dairy

Lamperts Dairy is a converted property on a working farm at Sydling St Nicholas, near Dorchester and Maiden Newton. A marked farm trail leads from the property through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The owners farm without artificial fertilisers or insecticides, and the property is heated by a ground source heat pump, boosted by solar power, which also runs the EV charging point.

The living area is a large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with underfloor heating, south-facing windows and double doors, a wood burner and a farmhouse-style dining table. The kitchen has a range cooker with a five-ring induction hob, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer and a breakfast bar, and a separate utility room has a sink, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, one king-size and two twins, and upstairs there are two king-size bedrooms and a twin. Every bedroom has an en-suite, and there is also a separate shower room on the ground floor.

The games room on the mezzanine overlooks the living area and has a pool table, table football, a Satellite TV, a Blu-ray player and an Xbox. The lounge has Sky TV and a Wii. Stairgates are available for the top and bottom of the stairs. Outside, an enclosed south-facing patio has a covered seating area and a BBQ. Parking is ample and off-road. The pub is 1 mile away, which is a 20 to 30 minute walk, the shop is 3 miles and the beach at Weymouth is 16.5 miles. Mobile phone signal is limited.

No dogs are accepted, and stag and hen parties are not permitted. The house suits a big family or two families on a longer break who want a games room and plenty of bedrooms with their own bathrooms.
