The Linnie Durweston

The Linnie adjoins the owner's home in Durweston, a village a short drive from Blandford Forum. It is a single-level property for two, with one double bedroom, which has a TV. The lounge has a TV, a Blu-ray DVD player, a coal-effect electric fire and views over the surrounding countryside. French doors lead out to the garden.

The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a slim-line dishwasher. The washer/dryer is in a cupboard in the bathroom, which has a power shower over the bath and a WC. It is the only bathroom.

Guests have direct access to a south-facing patio at the back, with garden furniture, and can use the extended lawn garden beyond it. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. Private off-road parking takes two cars, and there is secure bike storage. The pub and the village shop are within walking distance, while the beach is 18.5 miles away. Anyone wanting a short break should phone to ask about it.

Infants are not accepted, and dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 2.30pm. The retreat suits a couple without pets or infants who want a quiet rural base, with the countryside views from the lounge and the owner's garden to explore.
