Duck Cottage

Duck Cottage stands in the village of Sutton Poyntz, on the edge of Weymouth and a mile from the Jurassic Coast. The sitting room overlooks the river and has a solid oak floor and a woodburning stove set in the inglenook. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven, a gas hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a Tassimo coffee pod machine and a microwave. There is a TV and wifi, and gas central heating backs up the stove.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms for six people. The king-size has an en-suite walk-in shower, the double looks over the front and the back garden, and the third bedroom is a twin. The family bathroom has a freestanding bath, a separate shower, a basin and a WC. A cot and a highchair are available, and stairgates are fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

At the back, the enclosed garden has a patio, a lawn, a barbecue and outdoor furniture, and an open patio sits at the front. One car can be parked outside the property, and the pub opposite has further parking. The nearest shop is 0.6 miles away.

One well-behaved dog is welcome and smoking is not allowed. Electric vehicles cannot be charged from the cottage. From June to September the minimum stay is four nights. The cottage suits a family of up to six, particularly one with a baby, or two couples who want a garden and a woodburner.
