The Courthouse

The Courthouse is a detached stone property in Sutton Poyntz, a refurbished barn conversion that once served as the village court and later the court house for the Weld Estate. The kitchen and dining area is large, and patio doors from it lead out to the sunny enclosed rear garden, which is laid to lawn with furniture. The sitting room has exposed beams.

Three bedrooms sleep six. There are two king-size rooms, one with an en-suite shower, basin and WC, and one that can be made up as a twin. The third room is a twin whose beds are 2ft 6in singles. The bathroom has a bath with a hand-held shower, a basin and a WC, and a cloakroom with a basin and WC is on the ground floor.

The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. A TV, DVD player and WiFi are provided, and the house has gas central heating, with fuel, power and bed linen included. Guests need to bring their own towels, and their own cot linen if they ask for a cot, which is available on request.

Off-road parking takes two cars. The pub is a short stroll away, the shop is a five-minute drive, and Bowleaze Cove is a mile's walk. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome and smoking is not allowed. It suits two families or three couples who want a garden, a pub on foot and the dogs along.
