Rest -a- While

Everything at Rest -a- While is on one floor. Converted from former farm buildings, it is one of 16 properties in a gated complex in Charmouth, with the beach, shops and pubs all within walking distance. High ceilings and exposed beams give the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room some height, and French doors open to the patio.

Of the two bedrooms, the king-size has a TV, French doors to a small private gravelled courtyard, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC. The twin room has zip-and-link beds, which can be made up as a super-king-size bed if you ask when booking, and an en-suite wet room with a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge and freezer. A utility room holds the washer/dryer and another WC.

At the front, a small private patio has garden furniture, and there is a small step up into it. Guests can use the covered, heated outdoor pool at the neighbouring holiday park, which is open on set dates through the season. The park also has a coffee shop and a shared children's play area. Its health club, with a gym, an indoor pool, a sauna and a steam room, is for over 18s at an additional charge.

Club Wi-Fi costs extra, payable on site. The cot comes without a mattress, and stairgates are not provided. Short breaks are only available in off-peak weeks, arrival is between 4pm and 8pm, and a refundable security deposit is payable closer to the holiday. Electric cars cannot be charged at the property. No dogs are allowed. The cottage suits two couples, or a couple and friends, who each want a bathroom of their own.
