Rest Ashore

Rest Ashore is one of 16 properties in a gated complex of converted farm buildings in Charmouth. Shops, pubs and the beach are all within walking distance, and parking on site is ample.

You come in to an open-plan lounge and dining room, with French doors to an enclosed patio and garden furniture. The kitchen across the hall has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge and freezer, while the washer/dryer is in a utility room off it. A wet room with a WC completes the ground floor. There is a TV and DVD in the lounge and a TV in the king-size bedroom.

Upstairs, the two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. Club Wi-Fi is available on site for an additional charge. The cot comes without a mattress, and stairgates are not provided. A refundable security deposit is payable nearer the start of the holiday.

Guests can use the covered, heated outdoor pool at the neighbouring holiday park, which is open on set dates through the season. The park also has a coffee shop and a shared children's play area. The park's health club, with a gym, an indoor pool, a sauna and a steam room, is for over 18s at an additional charge. Short breaks are only available in off-peak weeks, and arrival is between 4pm and 8pm. Electric cars cannot be charged at the property; the nearest charging points are in Lyme Regis, West Bay and Bridport. No dogs are allowed. The cottage suits a couple or two couples who want a pool and the village within reach.
