Potters Barn - Corfe Castle

Potters Barn is a detached stone-built house beside the main road through Corfe Castle, reached up three external steps. It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two doubles are on the ground floor, off the open-plan kitchen and dining area, and a twin sits in the eaves on the first floor. The one bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC, and there is a separate WC beside the twin bedroom.

Guests should know about the stairs. The way up to the twin bedroom is a set of steep, ladder-style stairs, and head height is restricted in that room, so guests are asked to take care. There is also a step down into the inner hallway that leads to the bathroom. The kitchen has a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The lounge has a Smart TV, and internet access is included.

French doors open from the dining area onto the rear garden, an enclosed patio set across several levels with furniture and raised borders. Two off-road parking spaces lie at the side and front of the house. One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. A shop and a pub are within walking distance, and the beach is 5 miles away. All profits from a stay here go to a charity working with orphaned children. It suits a family or a group of six who want bedrooms on the ground floor and can manage the steep stairs to the third. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
