Stable Barn at Littleton Farm

Stable Barn is a former stable on a working family farm near Blandford Forum, renovated with some original features kept. It sleeps four, in two king-size bedrooms under the eaves. Both have an en-suite: one a bathroom with a shower over the bath, the other a shower room. Some areas of the bedrooms have lower-than-usual ceilings. The shop and pub are 1.4 miles away, and the beach is 17 miles.

You step through a stable-style door into an open-plan living space with a timber floor and beams running the length of the ceiling. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a Magimix coffee machine. A large wooden table seats the group, and there is a wood burner (the first basket of logs is supplied, and more bags can be bought from the owner) and a Smart TV. A WC and utility area complete the ground floor. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The enclosed garden has a patio with furniture and a lawn. The parking holds up to two cars. Eggs, fudge, bacon, sausages and potatoes can be bought from the owner. Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is before 11am.

The cottage suits a couple, or two couples, or a small family, who want a farm setting and are comfortable with an upstairs-only sleeping arrangement.
