The Beeches – Milborne St Andrew

The Beeches is a 17th-century cottage in Milborne St Andrew, a village near Blandford Forum and Bere Regis. It was fully renovated in 2020 and keeps its exposed beams, plus an inglenook fireplace with the original bread oven in the snug. A second sitting room opposite has its own Smart TV and space for board games by the fire.

The open-plan kitchen and living room looks onto the garden and has a central island, an induction hob, a second oven, a Nespresso machine, an air fryer, an American-style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs on the first floor are a king-size and a double, each with an en-suite shower, another double and a family bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath. The second floor has a double, a bunk room and a twin, which share a shower room. For small children, a travel cot and a highchair can be provided.

A large west-facing patio has an awning over the dining area, which seats up to 14, along with a fire pit and a gas BBQ. A flight of steps from the sloped border leads up to the raised lawn, and the whole garden is fully enclosed. Parking is off-road for two cars, with an EV charging point (Type 1 and Type 2 connectors), and there is more roadside parking at the front. The pub and shop are within 500 metres.

The cottage takes up to four dogs, and additional charges may apply. The village setting means the patio is not suited to noisy late-night celebrations. The cottage suits a big family or two families sharing, who want a village base with room to spread out and a garden the dogs can use.
