1 Lymbrook Cottages

1 Lymbrook Cottages is a renovated 19th-century mill workers' cottage beside the River Lym in Lyme Regis. The sitting room has a woodburning stove and an original window seat, and there is also a kitchen/diner and a sunroom on the first floor. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, a wine fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Gas heating includes underfloor heating, and WiFi and a TV are provided.

Two bedrooms sleep four: a king-size room and a twin. There are two bathrooms, a shower-room with a walk-in shower and a bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. French windows from the sunroom lead onto a private rooftop terrace balcony. Outside, a shared enclosed garden with lawn and mature shrubs has a small covered seating area at the front of the cottage. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and a welcome pack waits on arrival.

Arrival takes some planning. Guests are advised to unload at the wooden gate and go no further down the road, as there is no room to turn, and three steps lead down from the gate to the cottage. The booking includes one permit for Woodmead car park on Hill Road, a 5 to 10 minute walk away, with no allocated space and subject to availability. The river runs beside the house, so children need supervising at all times. Fuel for the stove is not provided, a good-housekeeping bond is payable, and pets are not allowed.

A shop is 0.4 miles away and a pub 0.3 miles. It suits a family of four, or two couples, who are content to carry luggage from the gate.
