2 St Michaels House

Six apartments share an architect-designed conversion of a former small hotel in Lyme Regis, and 2 St Michaels House is on the first floor. Lounge, dining space and kitchen share one open-plan room, which opens onto a small balcony with views towards the sea. The kitchen has an electric oven and grill, a gas hob, a microwave, an air fryer, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Two rules narrow the guest list. Children under 10 are not accepted, and pets and smoking are not allowed. A good-housekeeping bond applies, and the fire is not in use.

The apartment sleeps four. The king-size bedroom has a Juliette balcony and an en-suite with a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC, and the second bedroom is a twin. A separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. A hairdryer, a TV, a DVD player, a CD player and WiFi are provided, and a welcome pack of milk, tea and locally sourced treats waits on arrival.

Parking is one designated off-road space, sized for a small car only (2.5 m by 4.5 m). The shop, the pub and the beach are each 0.1 miles away, and the river is 0.5 miles. Power, fuel, towels and bed linen are in the rent. It is ideal for two adults, or two couples sharing, who want a balcony close to the beach and have no children under 10.
