Badgers Cottage

Badgers Cottage is a thatched house in Langton Herring, near Chickerell and inside the Dorset AONB. The sitting room has beamed ceilings, an open fire and sofas, there is a dining room as well as a galley kitchen, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a freezer. There are two TVs, a DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books.

The two bedrooms are a double with a TV and a twin with bespoke wooden bed frames, and a shower room with a walk-in shower serves both. Electric central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A highchair, a travel cot and a stairgate are available, but guests must bring their own bedding for the travel cot.

The staircase is steep, the ceilings are low with beams, and the twin bedroom has limited headroom, so the cottage may not suit anyone with limited mobility. The rear garden is on several levels, with a lawn, a patio and furniture, and there are steps in it. Parking is residential roadside parking on a first come, first served basis.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The shop is 2.6 miles away and the beach 1 mile. The cottage suits a couple or small family with up to two dogs who are happy with beams, low ceilings and steps.
