Orchard View Cottage

Orchard View Cottage is a barn conversion at the end of a no-through lane in Langton Herring, on a 70-acre farm where the owners have replanted native wildflowers and grasses. The South West Coast Path is steps from the doorstep, and footpaths across the farm run towards the Fleet Lagoon. It sleeps four, with a king-size bedroom and a bunk bedroom, so it suits a family of four who want to walk from the door.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner under a pitched ceiling has exposed timbers and a skylight. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge with a freezer box, a microwave and a washing machine, and there is a TV. The single bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. A travel cot and highchair are available, though you need to bring your own cot bedding.

A terrace outside has garden furniture and a BBQ grill, and a large grassy area next to the orchard gives children room for outdoor games. The cottage uses a shared car park with the other property on site, and the owners ask you to tell them if you plan to bring a second car. Guests bring their own bathroom and beach towels. No dogs are allowed.

The pub is 1 mile away, the shop is 3 miles and the beach is 4.5 miles. A neighbouring cottage on the farm sleeps a further four, so the two can be booked together for a larger group.
