Barley Mews

Barley Mews is a converted malt store from the old Devenish Brewery, tucked behind the harbour in Weymouth. It takes up to nine guests over three floors, and the conversion has low beams at varying heights throughout. The lowest ceiling is 5ft 9in in the games room and 5ft 7in in the ground-floor family bedroom.

The ground floor has the games room, with a seating area, a freesat TV and a fridge/freezer. It is described as a place for table football, pool, table tennis and a few rounds on a punching bag, so ask about the equipment if it matters to you. Two king-size bedrooms are on the same level, one with an extra single bed, along with a family bathroom with a bath. On the first floor, an open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge sit beside two more king-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite; the larger en-suite has a bath. Above that, a second-floor seating area with a balcony overlooks the first floor.

The kitchen has a gas oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is Wi-Fi, gas central heating, a travel cot and a high chair, and bed linen and towels are included. At the back, a private courtyard garden has a table and chairs, and off-road parking takes two cars.

Pets are not allowed, and the house does not accept single-sex groups. It suits a large family or several groups sharing, as long as nobody minds ducking under beams.
