Colombo Cottage

Colombo Cottage is a barn conversion on the outskirts of Lyme Regis, one of five cottages that share a set of grounds with a large pond, a wishing well and picnic benches. Because of the pond, young children need supervising whenever they use the communal grounds. The centre of town is a mile's walk away, and a local bus stops at the end of the drive.

Downstairs is one open-plan room with ceiling beams, a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge with an ice box, a kettle and a toaster. A Smart TV, a DAB radio and WiFi are provided, and the heating is electric. The two bedrooms are upstairs, a double and a twin, and the bathroom is on the same floor with a bath, a shower over, a basin and a WC.

Just outside the sitting area, an enclosed paved patio has furniture and looks across the communal grounds to open countryside. Off-road parking takes two cars. A highchair and a travel cot can be supplied, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included in the rent. The beach is 1.4 miles away, and the nearest shop and pub are 1.6 miles away.

Bookings run by the week only, and commercial or contractor bookings are not accepted. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. No pets and no smoking. It suits a couple or a small family who want a spot outside town, with parking for two cars.
