Deer Leap Cottage

Deer Leap Cottage is a semi-detached house on the outskirts of Moreton, in grounds it shares with the neighbouring Deer Leap House. It sleeps six in three bedrooms: a double with a Smart TV and basin, a second double with a basin, and a twin with a basin. One shower room with a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail and a WC serves the house.

The living/dining room has an open fire, and logs are provided in the winter months. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge and a freezer, and there are two Smart TVs and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A highchair, travel cot and stairgate can be supplied on request, and the garden is laid to lawn.

The communal grounds are the main draw. They hold an outdoor heated swimming pool, open from 1 June to 1 October, a tennis court with a basketball net and rackets that can be provided, table tennis and an unfenced lake. The pool, tennis court and table tennis are shared with Deer Leap House. The lake is unfenced and children must be supervised at all times. Off-road parking takes three cars.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but they must be supervised outside because of wild deer on the grounds. Smoking is not allowed. The shop is 0.4 miles away, the pub 0.3 miles, and the train station is a three-minute walk. The house can also be booked with Deer Leap House, which brings the combined party to 21 guests. It suits a family or group of friends with dogs who want a pool and a tennis court on site.
