Harbins Farm

Harbins Farm is a detached farmhouse of about 200 years old in the Dorset countryside, just outside Sherborne and near the village of Glanvilles Wootton and the town of Sturminster Newton. It sleeps ten. Upstairs, a landing with glass balustrading connects four bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a second king-size with an iron bedstead, a double and a twin. A family bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, a basin and a WC.

On the ground floor, an adjoining suite has a twin bedroom with zip-link beds, which can be made up as a super king with seven days' notice, an en-suite shower room, a second sitting room and a kitchenette with a breakfast bar. The kitchen/diner and the main sitting room each have a woodburning stove, and the kitchen has marble worktops, a Rangemaster cooker, an island and an American-style fridge/freezer. There are two dishwashers, two washing machines and a tumble dryer, a garden room, a utility/boot room and a cloakroom. Underfloor heating runs throughout.

The south-facing gardens have lawns, mature trees and outdoor furniture, and a stream runs through them, so children need supervising. Off-road parking takes up to five cars, and the house is on a no-through road. Footpaths start at the door. An outside shower is there for muddy boots and paws, and stabling for horses can be arranged before booking.

Up to three well-behaved pets are welcome, and dogs must be kept under close control on local footpaths and bridleways because livestock may be present. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The farmhouse suits a large family gathering or a group of friends travelling with dogs or horses.
