The Farmhouse At Coking Farm Fishery

The Farmhouse is the semi-detached house at Coking Farm Fishery, in West Stour, near Sturminster Newton. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms: two doubles, a twin and a bunk room. A shared driveway leads to a private gated entrance, and the setting is a working fishery.

Downstairs, the farmhouse kitchen and dining room has two eating areas, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge, with the freezer in the pantry. The utility room has a washing machine. The lounge has a TV and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included. Upstairs, the twin room sits at the front beside the family bathroom, and the three rear bedrooms each have large picture windows. One double has an en-suite shower room, the other an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a separate shower, and there is a separate WC off the hall.

Outside is an enclosed lawn at the front and a rear patio with furniture with access to Fifehead woods. Parking is private and off-road. The fishing lakes are on site, but fishing must be booked in advance directly with the fishery. A bait shop and a cafe are also on the site, and their opening hours vary, so check when you arrive. The nearest pub is 1.8 miles away and the nearest shop is 2.1 miles.

Up to four dogs are allowed, and extra charges may apply for them. The house suits a family or two couples who want a rural base with dogs along. It can also be booked together with The Studio at the same fishery, which sleeps two more guests.
