Holly Cottage

Holly Cottage is a Grade II-listed cottage in Lyme Regis, with the shop and pub 0.1 miles away and the beach 0.3 miles. The living/dining room has a woodburning stove, and the kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a small AGA, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. The wine cooler, freezer and washer/dryer are in an external utility.

There are two double bedrooms and a shower room with a walk-in shower. Four guests is the limit. WiFi and a Smart TV are provided, along with central heating, and fuel, power, linen and towels are in the rent. A good-housekeeping bond is payable.

The enclosed garden has a raised terrace with furniture, a lawn, and a patio with furniture and a barbecue. The cottage is pet-friendly, and smoking is not allowed. A gardener visits on alternate Thursday afternoons between March and December and knocks first to check you are happy for them to come through the cottage to the back garden.

Access needs thought. There is a step up into the kitchen and three steps up to one of the bedrooms. The cottage is reached by a steep pedestrianised lane with no vehicle access to the front door, so stop briefly at the top of the lane to unload and collect the parking permit. The permit covers one car in the Woodmead long-stay car park on Hill Road, behind the cottage, subject to space, and the hill to it is steep. Because of the steep access, the cottage is not suitable for the elderly or anyone who struggles with mobility.

The cottage suits up to four guests who are comfortable with steps and a steep walk and want a garden, a stove and the beach nearby.
