Knapp House

Knapp House is a detached house for eight in the village of Powerstock in West Dorset, with Bridport 3.5 miles away. One of the village's two pubs is directly opposite the house and the other is within 500 metres. The shop is 4 miles away and the beach 5 miles.

One king-size bedroom is on the ground floor, with an ornamental fireplace, a Smart TV, armchairs and a desk. Three more king-size bedrooms are on the first floor, each en-suite: one has a zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as 2'6" twins, and one has a Smart TV. The dining hall has an inglenook fireplace with an open fire, a long wooden table and original beams, and the lounge has a second open fire, with the first basket of logs supplied. One step leads up to the galley kitchen, which has an electric oven, an induction hob, a combination microwave oven, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and a scullery.

The enclosed garden is reached by four stone steps and has a patio, furniture, a large lawn and established borders. It also has an unenclosed pond, so children and dogs need supervising. Two roadside parking spaces are adjacent to the property, and more roadside parking is about 50 metres away, subject to availability. The lanes to the house are narrow and may not suit low vehicles.

A travel cot and highchair are available on request, without bedding. Two CCTV cameras cover the kitchen door and the back door, for security only. The owners accept one dog, at an additional charge. The house suits a family gathering or friends who want four separate king-size rooms, and who are happy with a rural location.
