Leslie Cottage

Leslie Cottage is a Victorian house in Charmouth on a no-through lane that overlooks the beach, which is 300 yards away. The pub is 350 yards and the shop 600 yards. It sleeps six, with three bathrooms, and does not take dogs.

The dining room has a period fireplace and glimpses of the sea, and the sitting room has a bay window with sea views, a log burner and a Smart TV. The first basket of logs and coal comes with a stay from October to April, but kindling and firelighters do not. A conservatory with French doors opens to the garden, and the ground floor also has a playroom, a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a shower room with a WC. The kitchen has a range cooker with a gas hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and a breakfast bar.

Three bedrooms are upstairs: a king-size with views over the beach, a twin with sea views and a second twin with countryside views. Each has a hairdryer. The first-floor bathroom has a bath, a handheld shower and a WC, and a separate shower room with a WC is alongside; both are down a couple of steps behind a low door, so mind your head.

The enclosed rear garden has three areas on several levels, with flower beds, trees and a patio with a BBQ. In the games room are table football and a mini pool table, and outdoor games are available. Parking for up to three cars is on the gravel space, in the garage or in front of it. Check-in is from 3pm. The cottage suits a family or two couples who want games indoors and the beach on foot.
