Little Brook

Little Brook is a one-bedroom barn conversion in a walled garden at Nottington, near Weymouth. The stone building has its living space on the first floor, where the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one open-plan room, so the stairs separate the bedroom from the lounge. The dining table overlooks the communal garden.

The double bedroom is on the ground floor, beside a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double basin and a WC. Panel heaters warm the rooms and the bathroom has underfloor heating. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a washing machine, and a TV and wifi are provided. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included in the rent. There is storage for bikes and water sport equipment on request, and facilities to hang coats and boots.

The enclosed gravel garden area has a summer house, and guests can also use the communal lawned gardens. Parking is for one car in a designated off-road space. The driveway entrance is narrow, about 3 metres wide, and guests can alternatively park by the front wall on the road, subject to availability. Electric car charging is available only if requested in advance and agreed by the owner. A weekly charge applies, and guests must check their own insurance and that their charger is suitable.

Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome, and dogs should be added to the party size when booking. Smoking is not allowed and Saturday arrivals are not accepted. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The nearest shop and pub are 1.2 miles away, and the beach is 2.8 miles. The cottage suits a couple travelling with a dog or two.
