Lodge 15

Lodge 15 takes two well-behaved pets and four people, and it is just outside Corfe Castle in a forest setting. The layout is single-storey with two bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite bath and shower over, and a twin with zip/link beds that can be joined into one bed on request.

Decking at the lodge has seating, a barbecue stand for disposable barbecues only, and a hot tub. Light pollution is low, which suits stargazing from the tub. The sauna and cold plunge facilities are an optional extra: additional fees apply, and private sessions depend on availability.

In the open-plan living area the kitchen is fitted with an oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher, there is a dining table, and a corner sofa faces the woodburning stove and the TV. A shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC is separate from the en-suite. Heating is central, WiFi is included and parking is off-road. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are covered by the rent. A shop and a pub are 2.8 miles away.

Smoking is not allowed. On request a cot and highchair can be supplied for a charge per stay, with infants counted in the four. Guests arriving after 6pm should phone about key collection. The lodge suits a couple, or a family of four, who are travelling with a dog and want a hot tub for the evenings.
