Oakwood

Oakwood is a refurbished detached house on a quiet lane in Chideock, just off the A35. It sleeps eight. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.2 miles and the beach 1.2 miles, and the driveway takes three cars. The village has two pubs, The George Inn and The Clock House Inn, and Felicity's Farm Shop is on its edge. Seatown, with its beach and the Anchor Inn, is a little further on.

The ground floor has a sitting room and a kitchen/diner, plus a cloakroom with a basin and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing dryer, wine chiller, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The house has gas central heating, a Smart TV and WiFi, and guests are greeted with a welcome hamper. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Upstairs, three double bedrooms and a single room make four bedrooms. One double has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, and the other bathroom is a shower room, also with a walk-in shower. The single room has an optional pull-out truckle bed, which is for children only. That mix suits a family with children or several couples.

The enclosed rear garden has a patio with furniture and a lawn bordered by mature trees and shrubs. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. A good housekeeping bond is payable, and the house is no smoking.
