West Perry Hay

West Perry Hay is a semi-detached house on the edge of North Chideock, next to a working farm with pigs, cows, sheep and goats; the owners will show you round, though wellies are advised. Chideock itself is 1.1 miles away, the shop 1.2 miles and the pub 1 mile. Off-road parking is for two cars.

It sleeps eight: six in the bedrooms and two on a double sofa bed in the sitting room. The three first-floor bedrooms are a double, a twin with an en-suite shower, and a second twin. A bathroom with a bath and a ground-floor shower room complete the set. A large kitchen has a farmhouse table, and there is also a dining room, a utility room and a sitting room with a games table for pool, table tennis and table hockey. A woodburning stove adds to the central heating. It suits a family or two couples sharing with children.

Appliances are an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a TV/DVD and WiFi. Bed linen and towels are included at no charge. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.

The enclosed, lawned garden has a patio and a barbecue. Three well-behaved pets are welcome for an extra charge per pet. Smoking is not allowed, and electric car charging is not permitted. The water comes from a spring supply that is tested regularly. For holidays starting between 16 September and 27 May a heating supplement is added.
