Port House

Port House sits right by the Cobb harbour in Lyme Regis and is arranged over three floors, with the living space at the top. The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area has vaulted ceilings and skylights, looks over the harbour and along the esplanade, and opens onto a balcony. A woodburning stove warms the sitting area, and the kitchen has an induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and a Nespresso machine with pods supplied.

Two bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size, and a twin with its own walk-in shower. Zip/link beds give the option of a super-king. The family bathroom on that floor has a freestanding bath. The third bedroom is a double on the ground floor with an en-suite walk-in shower, and its doors open onto the rear courtyard. Each bedroom has a Smart TV and a radio that connects by Bluetooth.

Outside is an enclosed courtyard garden with patio seating. Parking is off-road for one car, reached along the single-lane Marine Parade; larger cars fit, but the entrance is tight. The Cobb location can bring some noise. One well-behaved dog is welcome and smoking is not allowed. Fuel, power, logs, bed linen and towels are included, a welcome hamper is provided, and a Good Housekeeping bond is payable. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am. The shop, pub and beach are each 0.1 miles away. It suits a family or group of up to six, or a couple with a dog who want a sea-view living room.
