Riverview

Riverview takes the first and second floors of a building in the middle of Lyme Regis, with the River Lym running directly behind it. The sitting room has picture windows looking over the river and the streets, and the upstairs balcony has patio furniture and a view of the sea. Beyond the sitting room there is a kitchen, a dining room and a snug on the second floor.

The double bedroom is on the first floor and the twin is on the second, so the layout involves stairs between levels. Bath and shower are in the one bathroom. The appliances are a gas oven, grill and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, a bottle fridge and a washing machine/tumble dryer. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels do not cost extra.

Parking is not at the door. One permit is supplied for the Woodmead car park on Hill Road, within a five-minute walk, and there is no allocated space, so a spot depends on availability on the day.

Two well-behaved dogs are allowed, and smoking is not. Expect a good-housekeeping bond too. The apartment suits a family of up to four, or two couples, who want the town's shops and amenities on the doorstep and would rather walk to the harbour and beach than drive. The shop is 0.3 miles away and a pub is 0.1 miles away.
