Rural Retreat

Rural Retreat is a single-storey cottage for two on a farm at Winterborne Zelston, 4 miles from Bere Regis. The farm entrance has electric double gates, and the cottage is reached by a garden path and two steps up to the front door. The pub is 150 metres away, the shop is 300 metres and the beach is 10 miles.

The hall leads to the kitchen/diner and the lounge. The kitchen has an electric oven, a hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and an air fryer, with a washing machine alongside. The lounge has a large wood burner set into a brick fireplace (the first basket of logs is supplied) and a Smart TV with Sky TV. The king-size bedroom has plenty of storage, and the shower room has a double shower and a WC. A travel cot and highchair are available.

The enclosed garden wraps around the cottage and has outdoor furniture, and guests can also walk round the shared farm grounds and picnic in the fields. Please keep out of the stables. Chickens roam the farm. Private parking holds two cars. Cameras cover the property, including the entrance, the parking area and the rear garden of the main house.

Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 4pm. The cottage suits a couple, with or without a dog, who want a quiet farm setting.
