Seagulls View, 12b The Parade

Seagulls View is a second-floor maisonette at 12b The Parade in Swanage, with sea views over the bay. The shop, the pub and the beach are all less than 200 metres away. There is no lift in the building, and there are many steps up to the apartment.

The main living space has a corner sofa and large windows overlooking the bay, beside a kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, undercounter fridge and freezer, microwave and a Nespresso machine. A double bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower over the bath are on the same level. The twin bedroom is in the eaves, with two single beds that can be made up as a king-size if you ask when booking, Velux windows either side of a vaulted ceiling, and an en-suite with a bath and a hand-held shower. Headroom there is restricted. An extra full-size single put-up bed brings the total to five.

At the rear, patio doors open on to a decked terrace with modern patio furniture. Barbecues are not permitted because of the wooden decking. A highchair is provided, with stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. Parking is limited to one car. No dogs can be brought to the maisonette.

The maisonette suits a family with young children who can manage many steps, or friends sharing five beds.
