Silver Cottage - Lyme Regis

Silver Cottage is a terraced cottage in Lyme Regis that sleeps six across three bedrooms, with pubs and shops within 100 metres and the beach 300 metres away. A private door from the street opens into an open-plan lounge and dining area, with a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included) and a TV.

The kitchen is beyond the dining area, with a gas hob, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. A staircase from the dining area rises to the first floor and a double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom, which has a hand-held shower over the bath and glimpses towards Golden Cap and Charmouth. A second flight of stairs reaches the other double bedroom, a bunk room described as ideal for children, and a shower room. Superfast broadband is included.

The courtyard garden, reached by a door in the kitchen, is enclosed by stone walls and has a table and chairs, a charcoal barbecue, an outdoor tap for sandy feet and wetsuits, and storage for beach gear, bikes or pushchairs. An outside WC is out here too. Parking is in a long-stay car park within 200 metres, available through Dorset Council, which also issues permits for local car parks, and charges apply.

Two dogs are welcome, with more possible by arrangement, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a family or two couples who want to walk to the beach and are happy with stairs, as the upper bedrooms are up two flights.
