South View

South View is a cottage with an exposed stonework exterior on an estate at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell. It sleeps four. The ground floor is a single open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with floor-to-ceiling glass patio doors, bi-fold doors and a wood burner. The kitchen has a single oven, a gas hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer, and the lounge has a Smart TV with a DVD player.

Upstairs, an en-suite double and a twin both open onto a first-floor balcony with an outlook across the lake. A family bathroom, with a shower over the bath, is on the same floor.

The garden is enclosed, with a decked terrace, a lawn and outdoor seating. A private gate at the bottom leads onto the village green, which has a shared BBQ, and on along a path to Beaumont Lake. Parking is for one car, with additional parking in the main car park if needed. The shop and pub are 0.5 miles away and the beach is 6.5 miles.

The estate is a nature reserve with a shared 25-metre heated outdoor pool, a cold plunge, a sauna, a tennis court and multi-use games area, a restaurant, fishing, and an activity hub with water sports hire and bike rental. Access to the pool and spa is payable on arrival, and a refundable security deposit is paid direct to the site. Quiet hours apply after 11pm, and hen and stag parties and work-related stays are not allowed. No dogs are allowed. The cottage suits a couple, or a family with a child, who want a garden and the lake nearby.
