Starfish House

Starfish House is a three-storey house in the centre of Lyme Regis, with the beach 0.1 miles away and a pub the same distance. On the ground floor, the sitting room opens into a dining room, and at the back the kitchen has an AGA, a skylight and doors onto the courtyard. It also has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and there is a Smart TV and Wi-Fi.

Two double bedrooms are on the first floor. Another flight of stairs leads to the third bedroom, a king-size with a vaulted ceiling and views towards the sea. That floor also holds the bathroom, with a bath, a shower over it, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC, and the ground floor has a shower room with a walk-in shower. The stairs are steeper and narrower than in modern houses and some ceilings are low, so the house may not suit the elderly, the infirm or young children.

The enclosed courtyard garden has a patio and furniture. The house has no allocated space: one parking permit is supplied for the Woodmead car park on Hill Road. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, with a Good Housekeeping bond payable. It suits a family or three couples sharing, who can manage three floors.
