Tallet Barn East

Tallet Barn East is a semi-detached, timber-clad barn conversion on an organic farm half a mile from Okeford Fitzpaine, with views across the Blackmore Vale. The market town of Sturminster Newton is 3 miles away, and a shop and pub are half a mile away. The approach is an unmade lane and a shared drive.

You come in through sliding doors to an open-plan room: the kitchen at the back, a dining space opposite and a large sofa beside the wood burner, with a Smart TV and the first basket of logs included. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a Nespresso machine, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The shower room and WC are on the ground floor. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom with a balcony window and a twin, with a separate WC between them. The rooms sit within the eaves, so head height is restricted in places.

At the back there is an open gravelled terrace with a privacy fence, a picnic bench and a charcoal barbecue for the summer months. The private hot tub is included, and a large shared field runs beyond. A tennis court can be booked by separate arrangement with the owner. A travel cot and highchair are supplied if you ask when booking. Two allocated spaces take two cars.

Two dogs are allowed, with extra charges. The barn suits a couple or a small family with dogs who want a hot tub and field walks from the door. Booked with Tallet Barn West, the two sleep eight.
