Riverside bungalow with a woodburning stove, sleeps four

The River Lym runs beside The Bolthole, a single-storey holiday bungalow in Lyme Regis. That position brings a rule: because of the river, the bungalow is not suitable for families with young children. The sitting room has a large seating area and a woodburning stove, and the kitchen/diner has a dining area set up for meals.

Outside, the gardens have lawns and a patio with furniture. There are two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin. The only bathroom is a shower room with a walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Gas central heating works alongside the stove, and the rent includes fuel, power, linen and towels.

Parking is in a public car park a short walk away, payable on site and subject to availability. The shop is 0.4 miles away and a pub is 0.3 miles away.

Pets and smoking are not accepted. The bungalow suits a couple, or two couples, or a family with older children, who want everything on one level next to the water. Families with young children should look elsewhere.
