The Halt

The Halt is a first-floor annexe in the middle of Maiden Newton, and Maiden Newton station is a two-minute walk away. Trains run daily between Gloucester, Bristol, Bath and Swindon, and on through Dorchester to Weymouth. Off-road parking for two cars is there for anyone who drives.

The accommodation is studio-style: one living space with a kitchen area, a double bed and a sofa bed, although the property sleeps two. The kitchen area has a hob, a microwave, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster. A Smart TV and WiFi are provided, with gas central heating and bed linen and towels included.

There are two shower rooms. One has a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail, and the ground-floor one has a walk-in shower and the washing machine. A balcony has a table and chairs. The shop and pub are both 0.3 miles away.

No pets are allowed, and smoking and e-cigarettes are both banned. Hog Cliff Nature Reserve and the National Cycle Network are close by for walkers and cyclists, and Hardy's Cottage, Maiden Castle and the Cerne Giant are among the sights within driving range. The annexe suits a couple who want a base near the station, with a balcony to sit out on.
