Thatched cottage for six in the middle of Lyme Regis

The Nest is a thatched cottage in the middle of Lyme Regis, with the nearest shop and pub each 0.1 miles away and the town and beach a short walk off. The open-plan living space has wooden ceiling beams, a window seat and a fireplace, and the stove there is a woodburning-effect one. A kitchen opens onto the dining area, with an electric Aga, an air fryer, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee machine and a washing machine/tumble dryer.

Upstairs are two bedrooms: a king-size, and a twin whose beds zip and link and can be made up as a king-size if you ask when booking. The snug has a double sofa bed that takes two more guests, so the cottage sleeps six. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, and a separate cloakroom has a basin and a WC.

There is an enclosed patio with furniture. Children need to be supervised in it. A Smart TV, a Bluetooth radio and WiFi are included, along with fuel, power, bed linen and towels.

Parking is not at the cottage. One permit is supplied for the Woodmead car park on Hill Road, within a 5 minute walk, with no allocated space. Pets are welcome, smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The Nest suits a family of six who want to be in the old town.
