The Oak Lodge

Arriving at The Oak Lodge means a step up into the property, so take care. It is a single-storey lodge in the countryside near Lyme Regis, with views over hills and valleys. The town is 0.8 miles off, the river 0.4 miles, a pub 0.6 miles and the beach 1 mile from the lodge, with the nearest shop at 0.8 miles.

Inside, the open-plan room combines a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the sitting area has a TV, a DVD player and a CD radio. Oil central heating and WiFi are provided, and the rent covers fuel and power, bed linen and towels. The double bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower, the second bedroom is a twin, and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over. A highchair, a travel cot, a hairdryer and an iron are available.

At the front is decking with furniture, and there is a shared lawn with a picnic bench. Neither is enclosed, and a wildlife pond beside the lawn is fenced off. Off-road parking takes two cars. Pets and smoking are not allowed, check-in is from 4pm, check-out is by 10am and Sunday arrivals are not accepted. For a bigger party, the lodge can be booked alongside five other units, which together sleep up to 25. On its own it sleeps four, so it suits a small family or two couples.
