The Old Boat House

The Old Boat House in Lyme Regis comes with a secure private garage for bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards and beach equipment, and off-road parking for one car directly outside. The town centre, seafront and Cobb are within walking distance. The shop and the pub are each 0.5 miles away and the beach is 0.7 miles.

The ground floor has a lounge with a Smart TV, fast WiFi and a woodburner, where bifold doors open onto a small enclosed paved courtyard with seating. The kitchen and dining room has an electric oven and hob, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, a toaster and a kettle, and a washing machine is provided. A cloakroom with a WC and basin sits on this floor too.

Upstairs are two king-size bedrooms and a bunk room with adult-size bunks, so six can sleep here. The principal king-size has its own en-suite shower room. The other king-size and the bunk room share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower. From the main bedrooms there are glimpses towards Golden Cap.

One large dog or two small ones are welcome, and bowls are provided. Dog-friendly beach options run through the year, subject to local seasonal restrictions. The cottage has no grassed garden, only the courtyard, plus a separate open terrace beside the stream with a picnic table. Guests can borrow a beach trolley, deckchairs, a cool box and a picnic set. Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the property or on site, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a family or two couples with a dog and a lot of seaside kit.
