The Well House

The Well House is a former farmhouse and milking parlour from the early eighteenth century, extended since and standing in Lyme Regis. It is built on several levels, so the ground floor has a snug with a woodburning stove, two steps up to the kitchen and living area, and a few steps down to a twin bedroom. Anyone who finds stairs difficult should weigh that up before booking.

The kitchen, dining and sitting area is open plan, with a skylight and bifold doors onto the garden. It has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster, and a utility room holds a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There are three TVs and WiFi. Upstairs, the first-floor lounge has sea views, and the garden is an enclosed rear patio with furniture and plants. A covered well sits in the garden.

Of the three bedrooms, one has a king-size bed, one has twins, and the ground-floor room has a single bed and a 2ft 6in single with an optional truckle, suitable for children. A bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower is on the ground floor, and a shower room is on the first floor. A stairgate, travel cot and highchair are supplied.

Off-road parking takes one car, with more on-street parking nearby. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Logs for the stove are not supplied but can be bought locally, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. No smoking. With sleeping space for six across three rooms, it suits a family with a dog or two couples sharing.
