Windwhistle

Windwhistle is a period cottage in Lyme Regis with enclosed gardens, a furnished terrace and a small sunroom that looks over them. The open-plan dining and sitting room has a gas fire. A separate kitchen has an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, and the cottage has a washing machine, a dishwasher and a utility room.

The two bedrooms are a double and a twin. Guests get two bathrooms: one with a bath, a shower over it, a heated towel rail, a basin and a WC, and a ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. A slightly steep staircase leads upstairs and a few steps lead up to the front door, so both are worth weighing up before you book.

The cottage is heated by gas central heating, with a TV, DVD player, CD player and WiFi for the evenings, and the rent includes fuel, power, linen and towels. One allocated space for a car is in a private car park a short walk from the cottage. The shop is 0.2 miles away, the pub 0.1.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, though smoking is not. A neighbouring house is having extensive building work, and the builders need regular access to its rear along the path in front of the cottage, so there may be noise. A bond for good housekeeping is payable as well. Windwhistle suits a family or a couple with one dog who want enclosed gardens to use.
