1 Ocean Bay is a first-floor apartment in Swanage that looks over Swanage Beach and the Jurassic coastline. The view comes through French doors in the open-plan living room, and the balcony outside has decking, furniture and a gas Outdoor Chef barbecue. From there the line of sight runs towards the Purbeck Hills, and on towards Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight.

Two super-king bedrooms take four guests. One has an en-suite with a shower, a handheld shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The beds in the other zip and link, and can be set up as twins on request. A separate bathroom has a bath, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.

The kitchen has an oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. The Smart TV carries Netflix and Amazon, and WiFi is included. Heating is gas central heating with underfloor heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all part of the booking.

Parking is free nearby on a first come, first served basis, so a space is not reserved. The pub and the beach are 0.1 miles away and the shop is 0.6 miles. Changeover is on Fridays only. No pets or smoking, and a good-housekeeping bond is due with the booking. Penthouse Ocean Bay, a separate apartment that sleeps six, can be booked alongside this one for ten guests across the two. This one suits a couple or a family of four who want the beach on the doorstep.
