27 Fernhill Heights

27 Fernhill Heights is a single-storey terraced bungalow on the outskirts of Charmouth, in a holiday complex that borders the Fernhill Hotel. It sleeps two in a studio-style layout: one open space holds the double bed, the kitchen, a dining table and chairs, and a sofa with a TV. The bathroom is separate, with a bath, a shower over it, a basin and a WC.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, a kettle and a toaster. WiFi and electric central heating are provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A travel cot is available on request. The front patio has furniture but is not enclosed, and parking is off the road.

The shop is 1.1 miles away, the pub 1 mile and the beach 1.3 miles. The grounds give direct access to the South West Coastal footpath.

The Fernhill Hotel, which the complex borders, opens seasonally, and its swimming pool is normally open from 10am to 7pm each day. Non-residents can book a 50-minute slot on the day or the day before, for a non-refundable fee per person, with one slot per household per day. Bookings are taken by phone only, between 10am and midday. The bungalow takes no pets and no smoking, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple who want a compact base within reach of the coast path.
