Alice's Cottage

Alice's Cottage is a thatched house over two floors in Burton Bradstock, with the shop and the beach each 0.2 miles away and a pub 0.4 miles. It sleeps four. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, which has a roll-top bath, a walk-in shower cubicle, a basin and a WC, and a twin bedroom across the hall. A second shower room, with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, is on the ground floor.

Downstairs, the sitting room and the dining room each have an electric woodburning-effect stove, and there is a conservatory. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Gas central heating, a TV with a DVD player, WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot can be provided and stairgates are already in place.

The lawned garden has furniture. Off-road parking takes two cars, but the cottage stands on a busy main coastal road, which is worth knowing with children or dogs. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. The minimum stay is three nights, and in the October half term only six and seven night bookings are taken. The cottage suits a couple, or a couple with a young child, who want a thatched house close to the beach.
